Forever locally-owned and operated

The story of Coxon's begins with the Coxon family and their iconic Morris Mini ice cream vans that brought smiles to visitors along the beautiful Northumberland coastline. When Mr. Coxon decided to retire, the business didn't leave the Seahouses family – it was passed into the capable hands of the Taylor brothers, who had spent their teen and university summers working at Coxon's, learning every aspect of the business that they would eventually come to own.

Today, the Taylor brothers continue this sweet legacy while also operating Neptune Seafood Restaurant and Hook Fish & Chips, keeping the local flavour of Seahouses firmly in local hands.

Connecting over the sweet things in life

At Coxon's, we're focused on helping families connect over the sweeter things in life – seaside holidays, building sandcastles, and enjoying treats that bring generations together.

As we approach our centenary in just a few years, our vision remains clear: to be here for another 100 years, serving new generations of families creating their own Seahouses memories.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a fourth-generation customer, we invite you to be part of our story. After all, a visit to Seahouses isn't complete without "a Coxon's."
